Appointments
Round the clock access to healthcare information
You can now access a wealth of health advice that’s clinically tailored to your symptoms.
Online Consultation allows you to check your symptoms, receive medical advice on non-urgent matters and submit a health request directly to your GP through an online portal. It’s simple to use so there’s no need to wait in phone queues. Click on the link opposite to access the system.
This system is for routine and non-urgent queries only.
If you contact us during core hours (08:00–18:30), your request will be reviewed the same day and actioned based on the information you provide. This may include booking an appointment, offering advice, signposting to another service, or requesting further details.
If you need more urgent help, call your GP. If your GP practice is closed, visit NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency call 999
Appointments are usually available from 8.00am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 5.20pm.

Enhanced Access and Out of Hour appointments
Enhanced Access and Out of Hour Appointments are available for patients within the Leek and Biddulph Primary Care Network. These appointments are available from 4pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and 9am to 12pm on Sundays. The reception team will offer and book you one of these appointments and advise you of the location of the appointment where you need to attend. This is not a walk in service.
You will most likely be seen by a clinician from another practice who can access your medical records, order tests and investigations and refer you on if required.
Home visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
Sometimes home visits are also performed by our Nurse Practitioner, Community Matron or District Nurses, who may call the doctor out if required.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
